TrustAlert is the leading provider of smart X.509-based identity and access management systems and virtual smartcards credentialing solutions. A global software company, TrustAlert products are being deployed in organizations all over the world facing the challenge to stay in full control over which person, either internal or external, is accessing corporate mission-critical applications. This, while keeping communication to these applications free from phishing and Man-in-the-Middle attacks, both in wired and wireless environments. TrustAlert further plays a key role in enabling authentication and payment service providers to build their identity and transactional service infrastructure "in the cloud".
With its patented RESEPT technology, TrustAlert has demonstrated its ability to transform traditional X.509 public key infrastructure into a manageable, affordable and convenient solution, enabling applications with typical certificate features of authentication, encryption, digital signing and time stamping, leaving all other typical PKI inconveniences behind.
TrustAlert's mission is to become the standard in cloud-based identity and access management, through enablement of RESEPT X.509 technology, on any platform, for any application.
TrustAlert started in 2001 as a company focusing solely on selling managed firewalls and managed IDS as an OEM solution. Supplying not just the software and hardware but also the actual service, TrustAlert was one of the pioneers in providing centrally managed and web interface based access to the customer to relevant performance and reporting data as well as configuration options.
Early 2002 our current CTO Sten Kalenda envisioned future (global) solutions making use of all the advantages of classic PKI solutions, but without the administrative downsides. Firmly believing in the future of such a unique solution, TrustAlert took professional management on-board through Marco Sonnega, began actual development of its automated short life certificate solution in 2003, and commercially went to market in 2006. Nowadays TrustAlert has abandoned all its Managed IDS & Firewall solutions and solely focuses on extending its short life certificate solution to all possible platforms.
